Swim Lessons, Swim Teams & Clubs

Because NEK Moms and Dads are so eager to learn about swim lessons, NEK Moms has compiled this list of swim offerings and contact info for you.  Be sure to check out the NEK Moms post archives and event calendar for other swimming-related information!

Comfort Inn. (703 Route 5 South, St. Johnsbury).  Offers public swim for local residents.  Contact directly for latest pool schedule. 748-1500

Lyndon State College.  Periodically offers Saturday morning swim lessons for preschoolers and parents during the academic year. Contact LSC, Aquatics/ Pool Director or Pool Line for information and the latest offerings.

Johnson State College.  Johnson’s aquatics program offers classes for children through sixth grade. Classes are held in the SHAPE facility and taught by Johnson State College students who are overseen by a Red Cross Water Safety Instructor.

Powers Park. (Lyndonville).  Offers a seasonal, summer swim & tennis program in Lyndonville. Powers Park maintains a Facebook page with info here.

Harvey’s Lake (West Barnet).  Contact 633-4921 for annual Summer Swimming Lesson programs. This lake features a swimming area and picnic tables, too!

Northeast Kingdom Aquatics.  Youth Swim Team.  Practices September – February at Lyndon State College. Recreational and Competitive Swim Team Opportunities for NEK children.

NEK Swim LLC.  A Northeast Kingdom based swimming company that offers swim lessons in the Northeast Kingdom.

St. Johnsbury Academy.  Offers a full range of swim lessons for children and adults, including aqua fit classes for adults, ongoing throughout the year.  Various/flexible start dates.  Open/family swim time. Contact Sandy or the Academy Fieldhouse for more info and current pool hours:  751-2423.

St. Johnsbury Kiwanis Club. Contact club for outdoor summer swimming schedule.

    I am looking to sign my 6 year old daughter up for swimming lessons a powers park. I cannot seem to find anything about powers park swimming lessons can someone point me in the right direction please.
